This spacious new hotel is set in picturesque surroundings in the south west of Cyprus overlooking the very place where the legendary Aphrodite rose from the waves. It particularly appeals to those who are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life - with it's peaceful location 15 kilometres from Paphos.
The hotels management staff are mainly Mauritian and many of our regular Mauritius clients will recognise this in the very high level of service delivered in a friendly relaxed manner. All in all it is a superb 5 star hotel with a wide range of dining options, superb spa, many accommodation options including suites and villas with private pools. The two-bedroom villas are exceptional value if shared by 2 couples or for families. The beach in front of the resort is not good but they have a beach club on a better beach 15 minutes away by hourly complimentary shuttle service, with sandy beach, complimentary sunbeds and bar/dining facilities.
Aphrodite Hills Golf
Within the spacious grounds of the Aphrodite Hills there is a world class 18 hole Cabell Robinson designed course which has been imaginatively landscaped over two high plateaus that are separated by a dramatic ravine. Here you will find the signature 7th hole, one of the most challenging requiring a long drive from one plateau to the other!
With its large free-form tees, wide gently sloping fairways and generously bunkered greens the course is unique, exotic and challenging. We have played the course and found it to be challenging but fair and enjoyed attempting the spectacular carries over the canyons. Due to the location it is a buggy course, walking it would take about 8 hours!
Accommodation
The InterContinental Aphrodite Hills Resort Hotel has 290 rooms and suites including 183 standard and 58 superior rooms with either poor, garden or golf and sea view, 42 Club rooms and suites, Presidential suite. Some rooms also have a private pool. Al rooms are elegantly decorated with traditional accents such as hand-carved wood cabinets and Lefkaritika linen and bedspreads, all handcrafted by local artisans.
All rooms have private terraces with pool/garden views and golf/sea views, along with luxuriously fitted and spacious bathrooms. Suites have the option of additional connecting rooms, while some have outdoor jacuzzis or private plunge pools overlooking the golf fairways and the Mediterranean beyond.
