I just wanted to email you and say thank you to you and the team at Chaka Travel for all your help in arranging our holiday at Belle Mare Plage. We had a fantastic time, one of the best holidays we have ever had!!! The hotel is fantastic and the Mauritian people so warm and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. Mauritours were great, the meet and greet and pickup was on time and the tours they ran were great, we had a lovely day on the Green Dolphin catamaran. The golf was brilliant we managed to get to play Le Touessrock as well as the Legend and Links courses at Belle Mare Plage. Many thanks again, we will certainly be coming back to you for our holidays in the future Best wishes David and Kathleen Metcalfe

Just to feedback on our holiday at Belle Mare Plage. Overall we had an great time. The hotel cannot really be faulted on any score. Food and service were excellent. As a large party of 14 with many ages we obviously had various personal needs all of which were met promptly and with great attention to detail. They gave my mother a nice 80th Birthday reception. We were offered upgrades to Villas but eventually decided to remain in the main body of the hotel. The Villas were beautiful but a bit remote for the elderly. Water sports etc were all good value. Golf was very good on the Legend. We only played 9 holes on the Links as the greens were in bad shape - hollow tined. Golf at Ile aux cerfs was very good. Excellent condition, good course but a bit over the top on charges etc. Transfers were well managed by Mauritours. Somehow one of our bags failed to get loaded on departure from the hotel but they had already noticed before we arrived at the airport and had arranged follow up transport. All in all though an excellent trip. Thanks to all of you for your efforts and patience especially through all the hassles of the Ash Cloud.

Great value package, beautiful hotel and beaches, everything ran smoothly with the transfers etc. I would definitely use the company again. Philip, We had a fantastic time in Mauritius, the hotel was superb. Our hotel room was upgraded to a suite and I thank you if this was down to you. The guys thoroughly enjoyed the golf, they played 6 rounds although they said it was tough. We enjoyed a day at the races, underseawalking, deep sea fishing and a full day boat trip - oh and I got my water skiing in. Everything ran very smoothly from start to finish - for the ladies it was a totally relaxing holiday. Thank you again, we will certainly be going back to Mauritius and when we do I will be in touch. A big thank you for organising the Belle Mare Plage for us and getting us the upgrade. We made plenty of use of the outside area in the evening with a glass of wine as the sun went down. Although we had a very relaxing time we also played lots of golf, so Ann now says she needs a holiday. (Golfed out!!!). We have just returned from the most marvellous holiday at the Belle Mare Plage. All the travel arrangements worked perfectly and the hotel was quite outstanding. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom beachfront villa on day one. The quality was superb and the service from all the staff was second to none. They couldn’t do enough for you which was most refreshing. Mauritours provided a most efficient service to and from the resort and perhaps you could pass my thanks to them for the courteous way in which we were treated. Hi Stuart Yes we had a great time, probably one of the best holidays ever. We made some very good friends and the group over all were fantastic, Jo organized it perfectly and we had a great laugh. The hotel and staff were brilliant, but I knew they would be after last time, I think over all we came 4th in the comp and won one round over all, but win lose or draw it did not matter because the holiday was so excellent. Hi Mark, Just a quick note to thank you so much for arranging such a wonderful wedding and honeymoon for us. Mauritius is a truly wonderful place, and we were so well looked after. The wedding was a complete success and we wouldn’t change a thing. The people there are so lovely, kind and pleasant and the Belle Mare Plage was out of this world. Unfortunately we are now back at work and have to return to reality. We will certainly be returning to the island as soon as possible. It will not be next year though because the baby is due in April, another little surprise from Mauritius. Mark, thanks again, you’re a star. Kind regards

Hi Mark, We just wanted to say a big thank you for organising our honeymoon in Mauritius. We had a fantastic time. The Belle Mare Plage Hotel is truly stunning! Couldn’t fault a thing. The staff were very friendly and the food excellent every day. There was so much attention to detail - flowers in the room, in the bathroom, etc. We were even given slippers, a traditional t-shirt and a sarong. Champagne and canapes in the room was a nice touch, including our flower arrangement. Anyway, thanks once again for organising this truly wonderful experience!

The correspondence on booking through to Jo taking care of everything on site. Jo goes beyond the call of duty! Prizes and format are good and very fair on everyone. It was a great idea to have a ladies only match. Also a nice idea that most people got a prize and that they were locally produced. Beautifully organised by Jo. We were not left wanting for information at any time. Mixing the couples worked well and Anne and I enjoyed meeting many of the party as fellow competitors. Formats are very good and prizes were lovely. Can’t fault really. Thought it all ran very well. Could not ask for better. . . . . . Comments on Excursions to Ernie Els course, Catamaran trip and Island golf . . . . . Ernie Els course excellent All excellent especially Le Touesserok Catamaran trip and the island golf were both excellent. Dear Mark, We arrived home from our 3 week holiday at The Belle Mare Plage where we had a wonderful time and many thanks to you both for all you did for us to make it a memorable 30 years of marriage celebration. The staff are outstanding at the hotel and Resident Manager Sona Bissoondeeal is a kind and thoughtful gentleman. We loved our candlelit dinner and the cocktail evening at The Presidential Villa. We hope to go again next year and will be in contact with you. We shall recommend Chaka Travel to our golfing friends. With best wishes to you both.

H&C I, 30th anniversary at Belle Mare Plage Resort, Mauritius


Hi Stuart, We have now arrived back to a cold, wet Scotland after our marvelous holiday at Belle Mare Plage. Imagine our delight on arrival to be advised that we had been given a free update to Villa accommodation complete with Butler (Villa Master). We were welcomed by the Senior Manager responsible for the Villas and several of his staff, what a wonderful surprise, we were flabbergasted, it took our trip into the realms of fantasy. I don’t know if you had any input to that but if so then thank you very much indeed. The Island is very beautiful and the people friendly, the resort is superb and the accommodation magnificent, our Butler, Jogoo was a treasure and nothing was too much trouble, now we know how the rich and famous feel. All of the Staff we encountered went to extremes to be helpful, courteous and friendly. The golf courses were very challenging but great to play again the Staff very friendly and helpful and as for Le Touessrok golf course at Ile Aux Cerfs, we thought we’d died and gone to Heaven. A truly wonderful holiday which will be extremely difficult to top, thank you to you and your colleagues at Chaka for all your help, there wasnnt the slightest glitch anywhere!!!

Belle Mare is perfect and your recommendation of junior suite was spot on. We also enjoyed the golf - we played Legend, Links and Tousserok. Belle Mare Plage 2010


Hi Jen, Just to let you know that we had a wonderful holiday both in Dubai & Mauritius. What a wonderful island, the hotel was super & the staff so friendly- it reminded me of the Carribean 20 years ago ! we had a beautiful suite which was quiet, overlooking the pool and the beach & sea and on the ground floor, fabulous. I really hope Mauritius stays that way and does not become spoilt like the Carribean - at least the Belle Mare has all that beach so cannot ever really be spoilt. We also enjoyed Dubai we met a friend who lives there and she took us all around and onto the Palm so it was very interesting , we seemed to do everyting that a visitor does all in two days ! so we were very pleased to reach Mauritius to relax! Hopefully we may go again one day. Thank you Regards, Anne B
