Golf course holiday in the Winelands, South Africa This region is a must for any golfing holiday to South Africa as it boasts some of the best golf courses in South Africa. In the Winelands area, we include Hermanus which offers land based whale watching and great golf at the Arabella Golf Course, which hosts the annual Nelson Mandela Challenge. Another course which hosts major tournaments is the Erinvale Golf Course which offers golfers a championship layout and superb facilities. The views of the Winelands from the top of this golf course are spectacular and a golf cart is a must for the back nine. The distinguishing feature of golf in the Cape Winelands is the fact that most of the area surrounding the golf course is farm land. At Stellenbosch Golf Course you play your second on the 6th over the encroaching vineyard while at Erinvale, be sure to keep your eye peeled for the impala which live alongside the 7th fairway. Jack Nicklaus selected the winelands for his first signature course in South Africa called Pearl Valley.

Hi, I wanted to thank you so much for organising (and hand-holding) us on our trip to South Africa last November. The holiday was absolutely awesome. We did so much and learnt so much and I’ve fallen in love with the country! We did the whale and dolphin watching. Jason did the highest bungee jump, we stroked the cheetahhs at Spier, met some lovely people in Wilderness, did the monkey world visit and the elephant sanctuary, saw the penguins and did some wine tastingg.. Hi, We had the greatest holiday ever, and it was seamless from start to finish. Your arrangements were spot on and we had the upgrade at Belle Mare Plage, and even upgraded at Steenberg without asking.Had a cake specially for my birthday and the staff at both hotels were special, and made every minute enjoyable. It was great to see so many in Belle Mare who remembered us even after 3 years since our last visit. Loved Cape Town shame we had only 6 days there. Chilli Pepper Lodge - lovely themed suites with kitchen and private braai area, they even kill black mambas for you when they get into your bedroom!
