Golf Courses in Damai Laut

Damai Laut Golf & Country Club

Seaside splendour - resort golf at its best
18 holes

In his design, golf course architect, Ronald Fream has utilised all of his expertise to produce a picturesque masterpiece. A short buggy ride from the hotel the clubhouse is set overlooking the course as it winds down to the sea and has picturesque views of the Straits of Melaka below. It is set in lush green undulating terrain and has plenty to offer for just about every hole has its own characteristics. Each one is designed and sculptured into its own setting to provide a perfect environment to test your game. Bunkers and lakes appear to put you under pressure throughout but through intelligent design high handicappers have relatively safe access to the well-maintained greens, whilst also providing a tough challenge for those looking for a sterner test. The course is closed on Mondays.

Clearwater Sanctuary Golf Club

Golf – as Mother Nature intended
18 holes

One of the most beautiful golf courses in South East Asia, Clearwater Sanctuary was voted 2nd in the 2000 Golf Malaysia golf course poll. Wildlife abounds among the clusters of rain-trees, swaying palms and lush foliage that are native to the land. Otters roam freely at the edge of lakes and the air is filled with the chirpings of warblers, tillers and magpies, while hawks and eagles swoop majestically overhead. Clearly, golfing at Clearwater Sanctuary, is as Mother Nature intended.

The Raintree Nine, highlights an abundance of raintrees that provides cool shade for the golfers. The Lakes Nine, features water around every hole and along the waterfront fringed with wild grasses and shrubs, are to be found a collection of wild ducks, herons and the colourful Kingfishers. The Wetlands Nine, a unique Par-3 course, is the ideal venue for juniors and beginners or busy golfers seeking a short but satisfactory game.

Customer Comments

Hi Mark,Thank you for organising another wonderful holiday for us. Everything went smoothly and Tangjung Rhu Langkawi is awesome. The two golf courses we played were great and very different. Datai Bay is fabulous but hard (straight and accurate required) Gunung Raya was a lot more forgiving in that there was room for error. We played them both a few times and loved it. (Although my golf was poor ~ embarassingly poor. Think I was missing the Scottish wind:))))
