Golf in Dubai
Whether you want to play the world famous Majlis courses at the Emirates Golf Club or The Creek or enjoy some night golf at Nad Al Sheba, we can offer access to a range of excellent golf courses in Dubai. Dubai is currently undergoing a golf course bonanza with new courses opening all the time, contact us to discuss your requirements. We have played many of the courses and would be happy to share our knowledge with you.
The Emirates Golf Club
This was the first grass course in the middle East and is now the home of the PGA Dubai Desert Classic. The Majlis and the Wadi are both 18 hole par 72 layouts. They combine natural rolling desert terrain with lots of water hazards and desert rough.
Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club
The clubhouse is a landmark for miles around, mirroring as it does the sails of a traditional Arab dhow. With a par of 72 and 6800 yards in length this is a real test. The fairways are lined with date and coconut palms and of course, water if you stray too far. There is also a floodlit par three course and driving range where you can try to correct the swing which caused you to lose all those balls earlier in the day.
Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa
The Jebel Ali Hotel 9 hole course is a superbly designed course, the resort's nine holes are played out alongside a stunning marina and feature a saltwater lake which comes into play on five of the holes as well as the famous peacocks. You can play 18–holes by playing off different tees for the second nine.
The Al Badia Golf Resort
Just two miles from Dubai International Airport, the Al Badia Golf Resort, designed by Robert Trent Jones, has no less than eleven lakes of varying sizes and several smaller streams, all feeding water down to Dubai Creek. 'Rivers of Sand' have also being created to cast contrasting shadows, which fall across the course as the sun sets.
The Montgomerie Dubai
Designed by Desmond Muirhead and Colin Montgomerie, The Montgomerie is another five-star course enjoying growing popularity with overseas visitors. It embraces the traditions of a Scottish links course making it a unique golfing experience in this part of the world. One hole which always provokes comment is the par-3 thirteenth which is not only designed in the shape of the UAE but also lays claim to being the largest single golfing green in the world. At 58,000 sq ft, it is the size of nine greens combined.
The Desert Course at Arabian Ranches
Arabian Ranches Golf Club, was built as a true 18 hole, par 72, desert style grass course, a signature course designed by Ian Baker-Finch in association with Nicklaus Design. Miss the immaculate grass of the fairways and greens and you enter the “sandy waste”, with its indigenous shrubs and bushes. All standards of golfer will also appreciate the GPS yardage service available on every golf cart.
Abu Dhabi Golf Club
Abu Dhabi Golf Club features two 18 hole courses; the National Course and the Garden Course which were designed by Peter Harradine. Both courses are par 72 with lush fairways, strategically placed bunkers and generous greens to challenge golfers whatever their handicap. The two courses occupy 162 hectares and feature undulating terrain meandering through pockets of palms and ornamental trees, shrubs and seven salt water lakes. To play in Abu Dhabi we would suggest staying there for a few days – call for details
