Sea Pines Golf Course plays along the Gulf of Thailand in the Suan Son Pradiphat. The majority of the Sea Pines area houses bracken pine trees enriched by the beauty of oceans and mountains.
The Sea Pines course layout has been developed to provide golfers with a wide variety of challenges in their Thailand golf holiday. Depending on wind conditions, the course can play from relatively easy to very difficult. The course design includes six holes lying on the beachside and the rest of the holes towards the mountains divided by the railroad.
The par-5 12th hole is one of the most challenging, as the design affords it protection in the form of fairway bunkers and a water hazard along the right-hand side. Moreover, a small bunker located towards the middle of the fairway, creates a dilemma – go for a driver from the tee, or ‘play it safe’ by opting for a ‘lay-up’ approach?
The signature 17th is a par-3 which encompasses a spectacular ocean view background. The tee shot is all carry over water to a wide undulating peninsula green that is well protected by beach bunker in both front and back. Any shot missing long or short will find the sand; so play to the center of the green. The 17th plays tougher depending on the wind and pin placement.
The Imperial Lake View Resort & Golf Club offers 36 holes of golf in Hua Hin. The golf course is a favourite for golf holidays in Thailand and is situated inland amongst small farms & fruit orchards. For many golfers this is the most scenic and pleasant golf course in Hua Hin.
Course A – Mountain
The undulating surfaces of this course increase the thrill of fairway shots as well as the appeal of putting on the greens. The idyllic landscape is enhanced by the splendid variety of international foliage and the breath-taking through the view of the surrounding mountains in the distance.
Course B – Lake
This course gives the feeling of relaxation to any golfer who plays here. The refreshing atmosphere is supported by the cool breeze and surrounding bodies of water. This course is ideal for golfers looking to relax during their Thailand golf holiday, free from all the worries at the office, but with much hidden excitement from the challenges posed by the water that divides the course.
Course C – Desert
Also known as the Arizona Style course, this course is designed as an adventure for the golfer seeking to brave the arid landscape of the desert. Cactus, rocks, and bunkers abound making it a challenging course where the golfer must plan his every move carefully and patiently.
Course D – Links
A novel concept in golf course design, which combines the wide-open spaces and windy expanses of a Links course with the idyllic tranquillity of landscaping to achieve the Links Style course. The Links Style course will challenge golfers who enjoy long drives and thoughtful planning in their games.
Opened in 2008, the Banyan Golf Club, Hua Hin, Thailand offers golfers a world-class golf experience and dining facilities to be enjoyed in your golf holiday to Thailand.
The unique contemporary Thai style designed clubhouse features luxurious changing rooms, exclusive club suite accommodation, Mulligan’s Pub and Terrace Restaurant. All is perfectly complemented by 5-star service. Spectacular sunset views of the Burmese mountains from the clubhouse make it an even more memorable Thailand golf holiday.
The 18-hole championship golf course was designed and constructed by Thailand’s leading golf course architect Pirapon Namatra of Golf East. Furthermore, the R&A acknowledges the golf course as a best practice case study for being well maintained, designed and built.
Beautifully maintained, the Springfield Royal Country Club presents the golfer with a wonderful, 27 beautifully designed, landscaped holes, each challenges your senses of aesthetics as well as your golfing skills. It is a true Jack Nicklaus masterpiece, unique for golf holidays in Thailand.
A championship course with five sets of tees to play from, the course offers varying degrees of difficulty that accentuate the dramatic lush landscape. Be prepared for some long carries if you are brave enough to play from the back tees. It is one of the best courses you will ever play.
Set in a valley surrounded by huge black granite rock covered mountains, the Black Mountain Golf Club is a challenging location for golf holidays in Thailand, the site for Asian PGA tour events in 2009 and 2010 and the Europe versus Asia match play Royal Trophy in 2011. In 2014 Black Mountain hosted The Thailand Classic, the first European Tour event to be staged in Thailand. The Thailand Classic also held in 2015 and 2016, is now a major fixture on the European and Asian Tours.
The golf course looks as natural as possible and maintains many original features. The most important of these are the small creeks that run throughout Black Mountain and the rocks used as design elements on many of the holes. The original trees kept, and many new ones planted. Meandering creeks with spillways for carts to pass over frame many of the holes.
Black Mountain is not only a test for the top professionals but also very playable for the average golfer, ideal for everyone interested in a Thailand golf holiday. The holes provide the golfer with a safe route, but for the more adventurous player, there is a higher risk option with a potential greater reward.
