Opened in 2008, the Banyan Golf Club, Hua Hin, Thailand offers golfers a world-class golf experience and dining facilities to be enjoyed in your golf holiday to Thailand.
The unique contemporary Thai style designed clubhouse features luxurious changing rooms, exclusive club suite accommodation, Mulligan’s Pub and Terrace Restaurant. All is perfectly complemented by 5-star service. Spectacular sunset views of the Burmese mountains from the clubhouse make it an even more memorable Thailand golf holiday.
The 18-hole championship golf course was designed and constructed by Thailand’s leading golf course architect Pirapon Namatra of Golf East. Furthermore, the R&A acknowledges the golf course as a best practice case study for being well maintained, designed and built.
Sea Pines Golf Course plays along the Gulf of Thailand in the Suan Son Pradiphat. The majority of the Sea Pines area houses bracken pine trees enriched by the beauty of oceans and mountains.
The Sea Pines course layout has been developed to provide golfers with a wide variety of challenges in their Thailand golf holiday. Depending on wind conditions, the course can play from relatively easy to very difficult. The course design includes six holes lying on the beachside and the rest of the holes towards the mountains divided by the railroad.
The par-5 12th hole is one of the most challenging, as the design affords it protection in the form of fairway bunkers and a water hazard along the right-hand side. Moreover, a small bunker located towards the middle of the fairway, creates a dilemma – go for a driver from the tee, or ‘play it safe’ by opting for a ‘lay-up’ approach?
The signature 17th is a par-3 which encompasses a spectacular ocean view background. The tee shot is all carry over water to a wide undulating peninsula green that is well protected by beach bunker in both front and back. Any shot missing long or short will find the sand; so play to the center of the green. The 17th plays tougher depending on the wind and pin placement.
Majestic Creek Country Club is a challenging course that was once rated by a German golf magazine as a Hua Hin’s best golf course. Designed by Dr. Sukkitti Klangvisai, an experienced Thai golf course designer who is also responsible for Phuket’s Loch Palm, Majestic Creek is arguably one of best laid out golf course for golf holidays in Thailand.
Majestic Creek Country Club is set in the foothills 20 kilometers west of Hua Hin. The journey towards the course offers rural views of Thai life including sugar cane, tapioca, and pineapple plantations and farms. Majestic Creek has surrounding natural scenery. Valleys in the nearby mountains supply water to the maze of streams winding around the course, and the builders have been careful to preserve them as natural hazards; which makes for some tricky shots over water.
The 7,123 yard layout provides a range of different, well-designed challenges to the player. Low handicappers will especially appreciate the challenging tee shots as many involve long water carries over lakes. Almost all the holes have water hazards (small lakes or creeks) as well as excellent bunkering. For a good score, precise shots and good nerves are required.
Palm Hills Golf Club, located close to Hua Hin center, is in the lower foothills. It was the first international standard Hua Hin golf course and opened in 1992. The following year Palm Hills hosted to the inaugural Thailand World Pro-Am tournament.
The golf course is laid out on a long strip of undulating terrain which gives the holes a Scottish ‘links’ feel, different from all the other layouts in the area and amazing for Thailand golf holidays. The Max Wexler design goes from east to west, with lakes at each end, separated by the clubhouse and an interesting rocky outcrop extending from the mountain range.
The Palm Hills course is lined with hundreds of palm trees and has plenty of hillside lies, thus the name Palm Hills. Thousands of brightly colored frangipani trees and bougainvillea shrubs add to the natural beauty. The back nine, which plays on top of the mountains and provides stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand and Hua Hin. The Bermuda fairways are generous and broad, making the track playable for golfers of all abilities.
Beautifully maintained, the Springfield Royal Country Club presents the golfer with a wonderful, 27 beautifully designed, landscaped holes, each challenges your senses of aesthetics as well as your golfing skills. It is a true Jack Nicklaus masterpiece, unique for golf holidays in Thailand.
A championship course with five sets of tees to play from, the course offers varying degrees of difficulty that accentuate the dramatic lush landscape. Be prepared for some long carries if you are brave enough to play from the back tees. It is one of the best courses you will ever play.
Set in a valley surrounded by huge black granite rock covered mountains, the Black Mountain Golf Club is a challenging location for golf holidays in Thailand, the site for Asian PGA tour events in 2009 and 2010 and the Europe versus Asia match play Royal Trophy in 2011. In 2014 Black Mountain hosted The Thailand Classic, the first European Tour event to be staged in Thailand. The Thailand Classic also held in 2015 and 2016, is now a major fixture on the European and Asian Tours.
The golf course looks as natural as possible and maintains many original features. The most important of these are the small creeks that run throughout Black Mountain and the rocks used as design elements on many of the holes. The original trees kept, and many new ones planted. Meandering creeks with spillways for carts to pass over frame many of the holes.
Black Mountain is not only a test for the top professionals but also very playable for the average golfer, ideal for everyone interested in a Thailand golf holiday. The holes provide the golfer with a safe route, but for the more adventurous player, there is a higher risk option with a potential greater reward.
