Thai Country Club - 18 holes par 72 (7151 yards)
(This prestigious club has hosted PGA wins by Tiger Woods & Vijay Singh)
Thai Country Club is a prestigious course and is one of the best in Bangkok and sets the standard for service excellence. The course is well-maintained year-round, features a great design variety, and an abundance of water hazards and sand bunkers. With its immaculate presentation and conditioning, coupled with a very strong and classic parkland layout, Thai Country Club is regularly voted as a Top 5 course in Asia. The 7,157-yard course was the venue for the 1997 Asian Honda Classic, where Tiger Woods cruised to a comfortable 10-stroke victory after shooting a final round of 68 for a 20 under-par total of 268 for the championship
Grand Prix Golf Club - 18 holes par 72 (7136 yards)
(spectaular course is one of Thailand's best)
Grand Prix Golf Club is a well-conditioned golf course in Thailand’s Kanachaburi Province that will take the breath away. The course is set in a vast open space with panoramic views of the Burmese mountain ranges in the distance. A large river bisects the course and adds to the native scenery. It takes around 30 minutes to reach the site from Kanchanaburi town.
Grand Prix makes excellent use of significant mounding and undulations through the fairways and greens. Many holes have split fairways offering golfers both a more challenging and a relaxing approach to the greens. Multi-tiered greens have lots of break so it pays to select the correct club for each approach shot; otherwise 3-putts or worse is likely.
Royal Ratchaburi Golf Club - 18 holes par 72 (6785 yards)
(scenic course is a hidden gem - watch for the monkeys)
Royal Ratchaburi is one of the most spectacular Kanchanaburi golf courses. The hilly terrain and excellent views of the Burmese mountain ranges make for an aesthetically pleasing, yet challenging round of golf. Greens are well-kept, which is unusual for courses in such remote settings.
Black Mountain Golf Club - 18 holes par 72 (7343 yards)
(1st class European Tour & Royal Trophy venue)
Black Mountain was transformed from lush jungle and pineapple plantations and is located around 25 minutes west of Hua Hin. It is set in a valley surrounded by large black granite rock covered mountains.
The Hua Hin golf course was the site for Asian PGA tour events in 2009 and 2010. In 2012 Black Mountain was selected as one of the 100 best golf courses outside the USA by Golf Digest magazine.
In 2014 Black Mountain hosted The Thailand Classic, the first European Tour event to be staged in Thailand and is now a major fixture on the European and Asian Tours.
Banyan Golf Club - 18 holes par 72 (7361yards)
(2009 Best New Course In Asia: scenic & challenging)
Built among a pineapple plantation, Banyan Golf Club in Hua Hin. Immediately following, the course was awarded 2009 Best New Course in Asia Pacific by the readers of Asian Golf Monthly.Since then Banyan Golf Club has consistently claimed 'Top 3 in Thailand' awards.
The course provides for spectacular mountain and ocean views from most of the holes and is one of the best layouts in the area. Strategically placed water hazards, waste bunkers, and sand traps are spread out throughout the course. Significant use of native pineapple groves make local fruits come into play if straying too far off the fairways.
The signature 15th hole is a 139 yard par-3 with panoramic ocean views all the way to Singtoh (Tiger) Island in the Gulf of Thailand. Hole 12, a par-5 monster is 610 yards, all uphill, making it a challenge to reach for even the most accomplished of golfers.
